Great game! I used to play this on miniclip when I was a child. Works flawlessly on Windows 11. It’d be great if you open-sourced this so that people could port it to WebAssembly & we could play it in the browser once again.
same. do you need flash player or shockwave or something? i'd prefer to have the game as a standalone exe instead of downloading Flashpoint since it's such a small game that doesn't receive updates or have workshops and other stuff like steam games do. i've installed director, flash player and shockwave and nothing works
Good suggestion, anyway, I'm not sure I'm able to edit the project anymore, haven't tried running Director for years, so, I don't know if it works on current computers
Really a nice tribute to the original game. I really appreciate it. I still remember playing On the Run on Miniclip. I would just wish that the car AI in this game would be a little bit smarter.
I just downloaded this game but it won't open for me. I tried running it as admin, changing compatibility settings, but nothing's working. I'm on Windows 10 by the way.
Hi, I just tried the game on Windows 10 and it works fine, it may be a graphic card issue that is not supporting the old direct x driver but it's hard to say from a distance

where game save data?
is it in the registry?
just keep the zip file and extract it and then replace its contents
Roaming\Macromedia\Director MX 2004\ffxRunnerHD\Prefs\ffxSetup.txt
but any edit to the file just reset it
pretty sure this was a game on miniclips called on the run
it was, but ffx runner is the original game.

I understood why to some users this game won't launch. this happens if you have an Nvidia GPU and Windows 10 / 11.
Solution:
1. Open Regedit
2. Go to: "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Video"
3. Search for "InstalledDisplayDrivers" with CTRL + F, and check only the "Values" checkbox
4. Open the file and paste this:

it seems this game requires shockwave player 10 which has reached end of life
it should not require anything special installed on your machine
